Research Activities

AFgtc cooperates from more than two decades with Italian Earth Sciences Departments, University of Pisa, Florence, Cagliari, Bari and Parma, Center for Geotechnologies University of Siena, University of Rome "Tor Vergata", National Research Council, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.

AFgtc cooperates with University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and electric companies in Greece, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Ecuador, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica and Haiti, active in research and exploitation of geothermal resources.

AFgtc's proprietary innovative technologies, methodologies and equipments derive from 25 years research in applied volcanology, development of geothermal resources and applied hydrogeology.

AFgtc constantly invest in scientific and technological knowledge dissemination, providing opportunities for traineeships, scholarships and internships, sponsoring and following thesis PhD in applied volcanology, hydrogeology, numerical modeling, geostatistical analysis, geo-archeology and application in renewable energy and protection of drinking water resources protection.
